Adopt a Bed
We are grateful to our volunteers who have chosen to care for beds during the year. They choose their own times to help and any weeds or detritus they lift is collected in bags which FIB will take away for composting.

Special thanks to the unseen backroom crew who spend many hours at the nursery and watering throughout the town to keep it all going forward.
Year Round
- Sunday Squad – A group of 15 dedicated volunteers meet every Sunday
- Core Squad – On weekdays volunteers work at the greenhouse and throughout the town
- Community Payback – FIB has benefited from help from 20 who chose to complete their hours with us
- Anderson’s Primary – The Gardening Club meets throughout the year to maintain the beds in the High Street in front of the school
- Participating in Green Spaces Group
- Collaborating with Friends of Falconer Museum, Forres Area Community Trust and Forres Business Association in funding bid to revamp Museum Square and Tolbooth
- Cooperating with Forres Community Council and Findhorn Rivers Trust in Mosset Burn Survey
- Giving talks to local groups
Autumn/Winter
- Sharing our activities and plans at our popular Christmas Coffee Morning
- Presenting certificates at our AGM to recognise the effort and support of our volunteers, partner groups and individuals
- Issuing our Newsletterto all members and partner agencies
- FIB has been involved in judging the Rotary Guy Competition and litter picking after Bonfire Night
- Helping at Community Christmas craft events
Spring
- Launching Wee FIBbees in April
- Supporting the 20/20 Vision initiative now Open Spaces Group
- Supporting the Spirit of Community consultation on future hopes for Forres
- Helping to organise a Volunteers showcase to forge closer working relationships with other groups
- Issuing of Spring Newsletter
- Cleaning up detritus and litter in Grant Park by Brownies
Summer
- Organising the regular May Coffee morning and sale of plants to help residents enhance their gardens
- Supporting Forres Activities Association Scottish Week
- Supporting Forres Highland Games
- Weekly meetings of Wee FIBbees on Tuesday mornings throughout the holidays
- Weekly sessions with Air Training Corps
